Russia strongly condemns the strike on a girls' school in the Iranian city of Minab, which resulted in dozens of innocent casualties. This was stated in an official Russian Foreign Ministry announcement regarding the developing situation surrounding Iran.
"The strike on a girls' school in the Iranian city of Minab, which killed dozens of innocent children, deserves the strongest condemnation," the ministry emphasized.
"Any attacks on civilian targets — whether in Iran or Arab countries — are unacceptable and must be completely excluded," the ministry of foreign affairs added.
Moscow urgently calls on the parties to the Middle East conflict to renounce forceful methods to resolve existing disagreements and to transition toward a political and diplomatic settlement.
"We once again urgently call on the parties to renounce forceful methods for resolving existing disagreements and to move toward a political-diplomatic settlement of any issues, while ensuring the legitimate security interests of all states in the region," the diplomatic department stressed.
The Russian side calls for an immediate ceasefire by all parties involved in the hostilities around Iran and for measures to be taken to ensure the safety of the civilian population in the region's countries. "For our part, we advocate for the immediate cessation of hostilities by all parties and the adoption — as an unconditional priority — of exhaustive measures to ensure the safety of the civilian population and civilian infrastructure in all countries of the region," the ministry stated.
