Russian MFA announces agreement with Gulf countries to hold meeting in Moscow

Russia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), which includes Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia, agreed to hold the next meeting of the joint strategic dialogue in Moscow in 2023, the Russian MFA reported.


"It has been agreed to hold the next, sixth meeting of the Russia - GCC strategic dialogue in 2023 in Moscow," the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.


During the fifth meeting on Wednesday, the sides reviewed the situation in the Middle East and northern Africa and also discussed the situation around Ukraine. They also reaffirmed their interest in building ties with Russia, especially in the oil and gas, energy and transport sectors, as well as in developing peaceful nuclear development technology.
