Russian MFA collegium discusses preparations for Russia-Africa summit

The collegium of the Russian foreign ministry on Monday discussed the need to form a substantive package of political, economic and humanitarian projects that meet the interests of Russia and African countries for presentation at the Russia-Africa summit.


"The meeting reviewed proposals for the content of the summit and accompanying events, as well as the organizational and protocol details of their preparation," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement. - "The need to formulate a meaningful package of political, economic and humanitarian projects meeting the interests of Russia and African countries to be presented at the Russian-African summit in St. Petersburg was stressed."


As Roscongress previously reported, the second Russia-Africa summit and economic forum are scheduled for July 26-29 in St. Petersburg. The first event was held Oct. 22-24, 2019, in Sochi under the slogan "For Peace, Security and Development."
