Russia and Benin have agreed to continue developing traditionally friendly bilateral relations, the Russian MFA reported on Thursday.

On October 5, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Vershinin received the ambassador of the Republic of Benin, Noukpo Clement Kiki, in Moscow on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

"In the course of the conversation, some issues of the bilateral agenda and interaction in the international arena were discussed and the mutual intention to further develop the whole complex of traditionally friendly Russian-Benin relations was confirmed," the statement said.
