Moscow is actively engaging with Tehran and other stakeholders to prevent escalation in the Middle East, according to Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister.
“We are in contact with everyone,” Bogdanov stated in response to a question about Russia’s diplomatic efforts. He underscored Russia’s commitment to de-escalation in the region and called for restraint from all parties involved.
“We urge all sides to avoid further escalation, which poses a risk of disaster for the entire region. It is crucial to pursue political solutions to the existing issues,” Bogdanov added.
