Russian Mission States No Information About Wounded Russians in Gaza

15 December 2023

As of now, there is no information about any injuries among Russian citizens in the Gaza Strip. This statement was made by Aliya Zaripova, the spokesperson for the Russian representative office to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), in an interview with TASS.

"We don't have the information," she responded to the specific question.

Zaripova also emphasized the dire conditions in the Gaza Strip, where people "have endured bombardment, without light, heat, or food for over two months." "Imagine their psychological state," she added.

She noted that there are a few Russian citizens and their Palestinian relatives still awaiting evacuation from the Gaza Strip. "There are a few Russian citizens and their Palestinian relatives for whom exit permits have not yet been granted [on the list]. We cannot specify the exact number - we are in the process of working on it," she explained.

Previously, a girl with mine-explosive wounds was among the Russians evacuated from Gaza by a special flight organized by the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The ministry reported that over 1,000 individuals have been evacuated from the conflict zone since the start of the humanitarian operation. The Emergencies Ministry has conducted 11 flights, bringing more than 1,050 people back to Russia.
