Russian SVR Director Pays Working Visit to Egypt

Sergey Naryshkin, the Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), has conducted a working visit to Cairo, where he discussed various aspects of the situation in the Near and Middle East and North Africa with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the SVR press bureau told TASS.


"On February 10, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met with Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, who was in Cairo on a working visit," the statement reads. "The parties exchanged views on cooperation in ensuring national and regional security. Various aspects of the situation in the Near and Middle East and North Africa were also discussed."
