Rustam Minnikhanov Meets Qatar’s Emir and UAE Vice President to Discuss Cooperation

During his working visit to Qatar, Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Emir of Qatar and held discussions with the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates on collaboration within the framework of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World.”

 

The visit to Doha was at the invitation of the Qatari side. Minnikhanov met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. During the meeting, he emphasized Russia's commitment to fostering ties with the Islamic world and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He extended an invitation for Qatari companies to participate in investment projects in Tatarstan, highlighting specific areas of mutual interest.

 

Additionally, Minnikhanov held talks with the UAE Vice President, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. On this occasion, he conveyed warm regards to the UAE leadership on the occasion of their National Day. The discussion centered on activities within the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia—Islamic World,” with both sides acknowledging the importance of the upcoming off-site meeting of the group. The UAE was noted as an active participant in the initiative.
