Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Mamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting took place at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Mamari is visiting Tatarstan as part of his trip to the Russian Federation.
Welcoming the guest, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his sincere pleasure at having taken part in high-level talks during the state visit of Oman's Sultan, His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to Russia in April of this year.
Furthermore, Minnikhanov noted that his own visit to Oman took place in May of this year.
Speaking on the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Oman, Rustam Minnikhanov remarked that the figures are currently modest but the potential for cooperation is vast.
During the meeting, he emphasized: "Tatarstan is today a center for the Russian Federation's interaction with the Islamic world."
In his view, organizing mutual visits and meetings between business circles is crucial for strengthening contacts.
He stated that the "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" International Economic Summit, held annually in Kazan, serves as an effective platform for establishing connections.
Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Mamari outlined the work carried out by his ministry, including at the international level.

On November 29, 2025, the grand opening of the international exhibition "In the Name of Universal Values: Traditions of Mutual Understanding, Good-Neighborliness and Peace in Oman" will take place in Kazan.
