Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov is holding a series of working meetings in Ankara.
He met with Mustafa Varank, Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information, and Technology of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and Nihat Zeybekci, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party and a member of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia–Islamic World”.
During the talks, the Rais emphasized that Turkey’s participation in the Group of Strategic Vision gives a strong impetus to strengthening ties among Muslim countries, particularly in light of Turkey’s significant influence in the Islamic world.
Rustam Minnikhanov also noted that, amid the current geopolitical tensions, Tatarstan places special importance on further developing trade and economic cooperation with Turkey.
The parties discussed major joint projects currently being implemented by companies in both Tatarstan and Turkey.
