Rais of Tatarstan Rais Rustam Minnikhanov took part in working meetings in Ashgabat between President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, as well as President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During his talks with Masoud Pezeshkian, Vladimir Putin noted that relations between the two countries have been developing very positively. Last year, bilateral trade grew by 13%, and in the first three quarters of this year it increased by another 8%.
“We continue to work on our key major projects. This includes the Bushehr nuclear power plant, and the development of infrastructure, including the North–South transport corridor. We are discussing opportunities for cooperation in the gas and electricity sectors. There is also extensive ongoing work in agriculture,” the Russian president emphasized.
The president of Iran thanked Vladimir Putin for Russia’s support of Iran’s political positions on the international stage.
At the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdoğan, the two leaders also discussed the development of bilateral relations.
Rustam Minnikhanov is in Turkmenistan as part of the Russian delegation. The main purpose of the visit is to participate in the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
