Saudi Arabia is negotiating with German composer and Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer to create a new musical version of the country’s national anthem. The discussions were revealed by Turki Al Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia.
Al Al-Sheikh shared a photo with the renowned composer on the social media platform X, calling Zimmer "one of the greatest musicians of our time." He stated, "We discussed many future projects, which I hope will come to life soon. Among them is the creation of a new musical arrangement of the Saudi national anthem, incorporating diverse instruments."
Additionally, the chairman announced plans to involve Zimmer in composing an original musical piece titled "Arabia," inspired by the cultural heritage of the kingdom. He also hinted at Zimmer's potential participation in developing the soundtrack for an upcoming Saudi film, The Battle of Yarmouk.
