14 November 2023

The Second World Media Congress is set to commence on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, featuring a delegation led by TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman.

Scheduled from November 14 to 16, the congress is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE.

Organized by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company ADNEC and Emirates News Agency WAM, the event includes a specialized conference and an international exhibition of information products. Conference participants will delve into critical industry topics, including the use of digital communication tools, the integration of modern technologies, and the impact of artificial intelligence on media. The conference program boasts over 170 speakers.

Organizers anticipate the participation of 257 media companies from 172 countries, marking a one-third increase from the previous year. With over 5,000 delegates expected, the Second World Media Congress aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and introduce attendees to the latest industry trends. The exhibition of information products, spanning 32,000 square meters, will dominate the ADNEC exhibition complex – the largest in the Middle East.

The TASS delegation, actively involved in global media networks, will play a prominent role in the forum. With partnerships maintained with over 370 media outlets in 134 countries, TASS is a member of various global and regional organizations, including the World Media Summit, World Congress of News Agencies, European Alliance of News Agencies, Organization of Asian and Pacific News Agencies, Federation of Arab News Agencies, and Atlantic Federation of African News Agencies.
