Shoigu Arrives in Baghdad for Security Talks with Iraq’s Leadership

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Baghdad on a working visit, where he is set to hold meetings with Iraq’s top political and military leadership.

 

According to the Russian Security Council’s press service, the agenda includes conveying Russia’s intention to deepen and expand cooperation in the sphere of security. The discussions are expected to cover both current aspects of bilateral Russia-Iraq relations and regional issues.
