Shoigu Heads on Working Visit to Indonesia and Malaysia

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu has departed on a working visit to Indonesia and Malaysia for negotiations on key bilateral issues, including security and defense cooperation, according to the Russian Security Council's press service.

 

“On February 24, 2025, Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, leading an interdepartmental delegation, embarked on a working visit to Indonesia and Malaysia. The trip will last until February 28. During the visit, discussions will cover pressing bilateral issues, particularly in security and defense, as well as cooperation in other mutually significant areas,” the press service reported.

 

The visit will also include an exchange of views on international and regional issues.
