Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu is set to hold talks with his Kazakh counterparts in Astana to address security challenges, the situation in Syria, and bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The agenda will kick off with consultations between the staff of the Security Councils of Russia and Kazakhstan. Shoigu is also scheduled to meet Kazakh Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov and is expected to have an audience with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the Russian Security Council’s press office, the working visit will include discussions on bilateral relations in diverse areas, pressing international and regional security threats, and the situation in Central Asia, Syria, and Afghanistan.
