Sputnik V vaccine is registered in Gabon

The Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine has been registered in the Republic of Gabon, according to a press release from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

 

"The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announces the registration of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Gabon. The registration was carried out under an emergency use authorization. Gabon became the 29th country in the world and the fourth country on the African continent to approve the Sputnik V vaccine," the report states.


Sputnik V is currently one of the world's top three coronavirus vaccines in terms of the number of approvals received by government regulators.


"Sputnik V is registered in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, UAE, Iran, Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republic of Srpska (the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bahrain, Montenegro, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
