Sudan Army and Special Forces agree to one-week ceasefire

The Sudanese army and rapid support forces (special forces) have agreed to impose a ceasefire in the country for a week starting Thursday, South Sudan's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

 

"Sudan Army Commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Special Forces head Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemetti) have approved a seven-day ceasefire to take effect May 4," the South Sudanese foreign ministry said in a statement quoted by Asharq TV.
