Syrian nine-year-old girl Iman Ali, who previously appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, received gifts and a letter from the Russian head of state at a reception at the Russian embassy in the Syrian Arab Republic, TASS reports.

Earlier, the girl had sent Putin a drawing and a small letter with words of gratitude to the Russian head of state.

"I was very touched by your words of gratitude and respect. The sincerity of these lines shows that every child dreams of clear skies and simple human happiness at home <...>. I am sure that thanks to such talented and determined children with a good and open heart the Syrian state will have a bright future," Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense Alexander Chaiko read Putin's letter to the child. The child received presents from the Russian president: a toy pigeon, a big teddy bear and a doll.

Eldar Kurbanov, Russian ambassador advisor to Syria, noted that the girl could become a diplomat in the future. "Your letter reached Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, he answered you. This is very serious diplomatic work, you have all the inclinations. So when you grow up and want to make a diplomatic career, you will succeed," said the Russian diplomat.

Iman Ali herself said that she really likes Moscow, which she visited recently. The child thanked the Russian and Syrian armies that are fighting international terrorism on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. "As a child ambassador of Syria, I appeal to all adults around the world - [we need] to do everything so that international terrorism does not return to our country. Help us rebuild everything that has been destroyed," the girl said.

Iman Ali and her family live in Latakia, Syria. She is studying Russian at a local educational center and says she loves Russia and its culture.
