Syria's New Leadership Declares No Threat to Arab Nations

20 December

The new leadership in Syria poses no threat to other Arab nations, according to their leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani. In an interview with Asharq al-Awsat, al-Sharaa emphasized Syria's intent to maintain peaceful relations with its neighbors.

"Syria will not be a platform for attacking any Arab country or Gulf nation, nor will it be a source of concern for them. Our presence in Damascus does not signify a threat to anyone," said al-Sharaa. He further highlighted the new government's focus on advancing Syria's economic development and fostering cooperation with regional partners.

Al-Sharaa also stated that the leadership aims to establish "respectful relations" with neighboring Lebanon. "We have no intention of interfering in Lebanon's internal affairs, as we have sufficient challenges to address within our own borders," he explained.
