The organizers of the terrorist attack near the Russian embassy in Afghanistan are financed by foreign intelligence services and their goal is to undermine relations between Moscow and Kabul, Muhammad Suhail Shaheen, head of the Qatari political office of the Taliban (banned in Russia), told TASS on Tuesday.
"Some elements in Afghanistan under well-known names that are supported and financed by foreign intelligence services resort to such terrible terrorist attacks aimed at jeopardizing our relations with important countries in the region like Russia. They don't want to see those relations strengthened. Similarly, they want to discourage investors from investing in Afghanistan," he said.
Shaheen stressed that the Taliban government would prevent these plans and strengthen the security of all embassies, including the Russian diplomatic mission.
