Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, met today with Nihat Zeybekci, Deputy Chairman for Economic Affairs of Turkey’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) and a member of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia–Islamic World".
The meeting took place at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Discussions focused on Zeybekci’s upcoming participation in the Group's and the international economic forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” set to be held this May.
Minnikhanov expressed confidence that Zeybekci’s involvement would significantly contribute to strengthening ties among Muslim nations, emphasizing Turkey’s important role in the Islamic world.
“Tatarstan is keen to see Turkish businesses continue developing projects in our republic,” Minnikhanov said during the meeting. “We see Tatarstan as a launchpad for Turkish enterprises looking to expand into Russian and broader Eurasian markets.”
Zeybekci, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception: “It is always a pleasure to visit Tatarstan,” he told Minnikhanov. “Thank you for the invitation and the enduring sense of friendship you show. I’m also very pleased to be involved in launching our joint projects with Tatarstan.”
