President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day, underscoring the close and trusted relationship between the two nations. In his message, Tokayev highlighted the enduring spirit of strategic partnership and alliance that defines Kazakhstan–Russia relations.
“I’m pleased to note the deep bonds of friendship and good neighborliness between our countries,” Tokayev wrote, wishing Putin continued success in leading Russia toward prosperity and well-being.
Ahead of the holiday, the Russian Embassy in Astana and the Consulate General in Almaty held celebratory receptions. Speaking at the events, Russian Ambassador Alexey Borodavkin reaffirmed the steady growth of political and economic cooperation among Russia, Kazakhstan, and other Eurasian partners. He stressed that attempts to undermine this cooperation through sanctions or pressure would not succeed.
In Almaty, Russian Consul General Dmitry Turaev pointed to the countries’ shared history and enduring warmth in their relationship. “We’re building the future together,” he said.
