Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Thursday noted the dynamic growth of relations between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere.

"Russian friends, colleagues, I am glad to welcome you in our capital. I know that yesterday you held meaningful and fruitful talks. I note the dynamic growth of relations between our states in the trade and economic sphere," the president of the republic said.

He also expressed satisfaction that in the first five months of 2021 the volume of mutual trade increased by 26% despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic. "There are very big plans on the agenda to increase cooperation through concrete projects. So far, thanks to the efforts of our governments in various areas, important, if not anchor projects have been created. I think we should definitely work in this direction," Tokayev said.
