Tunisia's Foreign Minister Muhammad Ali Naffati praised Russia's educational cooperation with African nations during his speech at the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum. This was stated in a Foreign Ministry statement by the Arab Republic, published on its official Facebook page (banned in Russia; owned by Meta, designated as extremist in the Russian Federation).
“The minister praised the academic cooperation between Russia and Africa, which provides a solid foundation for a partnership that can benefit from cultural diversity, enriching and strengthening these relations while contributing to the fight against violence, isolation, marginalization, and poverty that fuel terrorism,” the statement read. It also mentioned that Naffati emphasized “the long-standing relations between Tunisia and Russia and their ongoing cooperation in the economic, trade, scientific, and educational spheres.”
Naffati stressed the importance of the Russian-African partnership, stating that it “can be successful and effective if supported by the private sector in conjunction with government institutions in Russia and Africa.”
The Tunisian foreign minister also called on the international community to unite to “end the brutal attacks on the resilient Palestinian people and allow them to establish their own independent state on their land, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as halt the aggression against the brotherly Lebanon and its national unity.”
The inaugural ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum took place on November 9-10 in Sirius, a federal territory, with approximately 1,500 delegates in attendance, including 45 ministers from the African continent.
