Turkmenistan Expresses Willingness to Expand Cooperation with Tatarstan

Turkmenistan is ready to broaden its multifaceted cooperation with Tatarstan, according to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), during a meeting with Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The state news agency TDH reported on the discussions.

 

Minnikhanov is currently on a visit to Ashgabat. According to the agency, Berdimuhamedov highlighted the dynamic and productive nature of the collaboration between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, which continues to flourish within the broader context of Turkmenistan's dialogue with Russia. He described Tatarstan as a long-standing, reliable partner and expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen Turkmenistan-Tatarstan friendship and cooperation.

 

Berdimuhamedov also noted that Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have been effectively cooperating in various sectors, including oil and gas, shipbuilding, chemical production, as well as in the supply of aviation equipment and cargo vehicles. He emphasized the importance of their partnership in the humanitarian sphere, covering education, culture, and the arts.
