The United States is insisting that Iran fully halt its nuclear program and dismantle all uranium enrichment capabilities, according to Energy Secretary Chris Wright’s remarks at the plenary session of the 69th IAEA General Conference in Vienna.
“Lack of transparency from Iran toward the IAEA—and its nuclear escalations—are unacceptable. Iran’s entire nuclear program, including all enrichment and reprocessing capabilities, must be completely dismantled,” Wright stated.
He emphasized that Iran must “fully cooperate with the IAEA, grant access to inspectors to all sites of concern, and uphold its commitments.”
