Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia will continue to seek ways to develop investment partnerships in various areas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic Jamshid Khojaev and Ambassador of the Kingdom Yousef Al-Otaibi said following the talks in Tashkent.

"The two sides expressed their mutual readiness to work jointly to find new points of growth of investment partnership and work out specific proposals for the implementation of promising investment projects in various areas," the press service of Uzbekistan's ministry of investment and foreign trade said in a statement issued on Friday. The sides noted that currently, 36 joint ventures with participation of Saudi capital are operating in Uzbekistan, while four large investment projects worth $2.7 billion are actively implemented.

It is also stated that the volume of mutual trade has increased by 13 times since the beginning of this year compared to the same period of 2021. This was due to a significant increase in mutual supplies of textiles, fruits, vegetables, plastic and metal products.
