Uzbekistan draws road map for parliamentary cooperation with Russia in 2023

Uzbekistan has developed a road map for parliamentary cooperation with Russia in 2023, which covers all spheres of interaction, Chairperson of Uzbekistan's Senate Tanzila Narbayeva said on Thursday in Samarkand on the sidelines of a session of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly (IPA).


"We must improve our cooperation in the parliamentary dimension, and in this direction I would like to offer you <...> a new road map for cooperation in 2023," she said at a meeting with Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.


Narbayeva said that the roadmap covers all spheres of parliamentary cooperation, including law-making, exchange of experience and increasing cooperation.


A delegation of the Federation Council, headed by Matviyenko, arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly. According to the press service, the session will include a session of the IPA CIS Council and a plenary session of the assembly. The main topic of the discussion will be legislative support of electoral processes in the CIS member states.
