Volodin and Ismoilov sign regulations for commissions on cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and Speaker of the Legislative (lower) chamber of Uzbekistan's parliament Nurdinjon Ismoilov signed regulations of interparliamentary commissions on cooperation on Monday, TASS correspondent reports.


"This is a new format of interaction for us, within the framework of which we will by mutual consent deal with the issues of citizens of our countries, business, development of our states in such areas as energy, industry, science, education, communication, exchange of advanced technologies and experience in various areas," Volodin said.


"Of course, for us, one of the priorities is the issues related to migration, protection of the rights of citizens who are in the territory of our countries. These topics that will definitely be on our agenda," Volodin added.


The Duma speaker also instructed the relevant committees to begin preparations for "the first meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission," which will be held next year in Moscow.


"I think that it will be necessary to continue our format of communication, without delaying next year, in the framework of inter-faction cooperation. We will have our third conference in the State Duma on December 14, which will be held on the faction level of the parliaments of the CIS countries. We would like to see representatives of the Parliament of Uzbekistan," Volodin added.
