The reports of the last hours of attacks on settlements in Azerbaijan from the territory of Armenia are misinformation, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported on Monday on its Telegram channel.

"The reports of the last hours about strikes from the territory of Armenia on settlements deep in Azerbaijan is misinformation," the Foreign Ministry said. The Armenian Foreign Ministry believes that by spreading such information, Azerbaijan is preparing the ground for "expanding the geography of war".

According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the purpose of the disinformation campaign is to conceal the massive shelling by Azerbaijan of large settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh from the first days of the war, as a result of which numerous casualties were recorded among the civilian population, and serious damage was caused to the civilian infrastructure of life support.

"Any provocation by the Azerbaijani side will receive a proportional response from Armenia," the Foreign Ministry said.
