Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has urged citizens to pay close attention to the department's recently published recommendations to refrain from traveling to Middle Eastern countries currently within the conflict zone.
During a briefing, she noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published detailed information on its website and social media accounts on Wednesday afternoon. This information, provided in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, Rosaviatsia, and other government agencies, outlines the assistance available to Russian citizens returning from the crisis region.
Zakharova declined to repeat the specific figures and data contained in the document. Instead, she chose to focus the attention of Russian citizens, the media, and travel agencies on what she described as essential information and the critical recommendation to avoid visiting a number of countries in the conflict area.
