Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan’s eastern Paktika province near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border have killed 46 people, according to Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesperson for the Taliban-led (banned in Russia) Afghan government.
"Last night (Tuesday), Pakistan conducted strikes on Barmal district in Paktika province. The total number of victims is 46, most of whom are women and children," Mujahid told Agence France-Presse. He also reported six injured individuals.
On December 24, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense confirmed the airstrikes in Paktika, condemning Pakistan's actions as violations of international norms. The ministry emphasized that such actions "do not solve any issues" and assured that the incident "will not go unanswered."
