Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has discussed joint projects in the transport sphere with Russian President's aide Igor Levitin. This is stated in a report posted on the website of the Azerbaijani head of state on Monday.
"During the conversation, the parties discussed transport, transit, logistical issues in the bilateral and regional planes, including issues related to the expansion of opportunities of the North-South transport corridor and the Zangezur corridor," the statement said.
It is also noted that during the meeting the sides "expressed satisfaction with the development of Azerbaijani-Russian bilateral relations, including economic ties, and stressed the importance of joint work in the field of transport and infrastructure".
