Bahrain and Kuwait Extend Airspace Closures for Tenth Day

10 March

Aviation authorities in Bahrain and Kuwait have extended the flight ban in their respective airspaces for the tenth consecutive day. A source within Middle Eastern air traffic control circles informed TASS of the continued restrictions.

"Bahrain and Kuwait have once again extended the flight ban for another 12 hours, until 16:00 UTC," the source stated. It was noted that flights over Bahrain and Kuwait were halted during the first half of the day on February 28, following the start of the military operation by the US and Israel against Iran. Since then, the authorities in these countries have been extending the closure every 12 hours.

Currently, the skies over Iraq and Iran also remain closed. Qatar’s airspace is opening for only a few hours each day, while partial restrictions are in effect over the UAE and Syria. Flights over Israel are also being periodically suspended.
