Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, met with Gazinur Bakirov, Aide to the Rais of Tatarstan. During the meeting, Marat Gatin was introduced as the new Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World”, led by Tatarstan’s Rais, Rustam Minnikhanov.
Also, present were Azamat Kulmukhametov, Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for Cooperation with Muslim Organizations, and Farit Mukhametshin, Adviser to the Chairman of the GSV.
The discussion focused on the Group’s upcoming initiatives, with a key emphasis on preparations for its May 2025 meeting in Kazan. The session will explore the theme: “Russia and the Islamic World: Youth Policy Challenges and Joint Actions”.
