Special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov, who is on a working trip to Kenya these days, met with President of the African Republic Uhuru Kenyatta.
During the conversation, the parties reaffirmed the attitude of Moscow and Nairobi on the further dynamic development of Russian-Kenyan cooperation, including the intensification of political dialogue, the expansion of trade, economic and investment ties and the promotion of mutually beneficial joint projects in various spheres.
Special attention was paid to the need to strengthen the foreign policy interaction of the two states on the basis of the provisions of the UN Charter and the prevention of conflicts and crisis situations in Africa. The importance was stressed of the consolidated efforts of the world community in order to effectively respond to contemporary challenges and threats, including international terrorism.
