Relations between Egypt and Russia have gone beyond traditional diplomacy and have evolved into a full-fledged strategic partnership, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said.
“In recent years, our relations have strengthened at all levels and have grown beyond what can be described as purely diplomatic. We are now bound by a comprehensive strategic partnership that is already delivering tangible results on the ground,” Abdelatty emphasized during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Cairo.
He added that Egypt is “proud to host” the second ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum, which he believes will help further enhance ties between Egypt, Russia, and African nations.
