Turkey in August 2022 set an all-time record in the republic's history for exports to Russia, such data was reported to TASS on Thursday by the Turkey exporters assembly.
"Turkey set an all-time record for exports to Russia in August. The volume of exports for one month amounted to $738 million 527 thousand. This is an 87.2% increase compared to the same month last year," the organization said.
Meanwhile, Turkey's total exports during this period increased by 13.1% to $21.3 billion.
As noted by Yeni Şafak newspaper, Turkey "continues to maintain an active trade with Russia thanks to its strategy of balanced and effective foreign policy." Although there have been delays and interruptions in orders since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, trade between Turkey and Russia continues to grow as "Turkish exporters demonstrate a solution-oriented approach."
