Indonesian representative to visit Russia on June 14 to discuss Sputnik V registration

Penny Lukito, the Head of the Indonesian Sanitary Surveillance Authority, during her visit to Russia on June 14 will discuss with the Russian side the registration of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Indonesia for emergency use,  Indonesian Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.


"The head of the Indonesian Sanitary Surveillance Authority (Penny Lukito) will go to Russia next Monday, June 14, to register Sputnik V for emergency use. And hopefully, we will be able to pick up batches of Sputnik V right after that," the Minister said.


Russia was the first country in the world to register the coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V on August 11, 2020. Brazil became the 67th country to approve the use of Sputnik V. Its effectiveness of 91.6% was confirmed by the publication of data in the leading medical journal The Lancet.
