Iran has formally called for the establishment of a regional alliance aimed at ensuring security and fostering military cooperation, specifically stating that such a union must exclude the United States and Israel, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic reported.
"The time has come to establish a union of states to ensure regional security and military cooperation without the United States and Israel," the statement reads. Iranian military officials expressed a firm conviction that nations within the region "will never need a state located thousands of kilometers away to guarantee their security."
The General Staff further emphasized Iran's belief that regional countries "do not need a state that prioritizes the security and interests of Israel above all else." The statement also accused the US of viewing regional nations solely as a source of "wealth stored within their lands."
