Iran Signals Readiness to Restart Nuclear Talks with the US

30 January

Tehran is prepared to resume negotiations with the United States regarding its nuclear program, though it insists that any dialogue must be built on a foundation of mutual respect. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the announcement during a joint press conference in Istanbul with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

"While emphasizing our rejection of any imposed or dictated policies, Iran declares its readiness to participate in meaningful, rational, and fair diplomatic processes," Araghchi stated.

The foreign minister added that Tehran is fully committed to rebuilding trust and engaging in a dialogue "on the basis of mutual respect."
