Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called the talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow "excellent."
The Iranian and Russian foreign ministers held talks in Moscow on Wednesday, discussing bilateral economic issues, regional problems, and ways to speed up negotiations in Vienna on the nuclear deal.
"We had excellent talks in Moscow with foreign minister Lavrov on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Syria, Yemen and the JCPOA, among others," Abdollahian said on Twitter.
He added that Iran and Russia agreed to closely coordinate on regional and global issues and further strengthen bilateral political, economic and cultural relations.
