A delegation from Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly has arrived in Moscow to take part in the events of the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s Parliamentary Assembly (CSTO PA). The group is led by Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, the State Duma announced on its Telegram channel.
“The delegation of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Ebrahim Azizi, has arrived in Moscow to participate in CSTO Parliamentary Assembly events,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the CSTO PA Council and the Assembly’s 18th plenary session will be held on December 8 at the State Duma. The meetings will be chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the State Duma and head of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly brings together lawmakers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Tajikistan. Kyrgyzstan holds the rotating chairmanship of the organization in 2025.
