The Israeli military has announced a return to observing the ceasefire in Gaza following a series of strikes on the enclave.
“In accordance with directives from political leadership and after a series of strikes targeting dozens of terror installations and terrorists in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces have resumed measures to uphold the ceasefire,” the army's press service stated.
The announcement comes a day after Israeli authorities accused Hamas of allegedly violating the truce agreement, prompting military retaliation. According to the army, 30 Palestinian militants holding command positions in Gaza were targeted during the strikes.
“The IDF will continue to abide by the ceasefire agreement and will respond decisively to any violations,” the military warned.
