Kazakhstan's checkpoints on the border with Russia operate as usual, the information about their closing does not respond to the reality. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

"Information about allegedly closed checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian border is spreading in social networks and messengers. We inform you that all Kazakhstan's checkpoints are functioning as usual," the agency said in a statement.

According to its data, the admission of individuals, vehicles, cargo and goods across the state border is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the republic and international treaties.

On September 23, the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported that the number of foreign nationals entering the Republic at the Kazakh-Russian border has increased. The situation is under special control.

Russian citizens do not need a visa to enter Kazakhstan. They can temporarily stay on the territory of the republic for up to 90 days.
