Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov, addressed the plenary session of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World,” focused on the topic “The Experience of Russia and the Islamic World in Youth Policy: Common Challenges and Joint Actions.”
“At KazanForum 2025, we are discussing the future—one that will be built by our children and grandchildren. Today, the battle for the minds and hearts of the younger generation is more crucial than ever,” Komarov stated. In his view, while young people have unprecedented opportunities for self-realization, they also face growing threats such as the allure of easy money, extremism, and xenophobia.
Russia is actively engaged in youth outreach. In August 2024, the “Youth Policy Implementation Strategy Until 2030” was adopted, emphasizing the preservation of traditional values, the promotion of patriotism, and support for healthy lifestyles.
“The current model of youth policy in Russia has proven its strengths and demonstrated effectiveness—it has become a foundation for resisting external pressure,” the presidential representative emphasized. Komarov expressed readiness for dialogue and exchange with the Islamic world and concluded by quoting Imam At-Tirmidhi: “There is no gift a father gives his child more virtuous than good manners.”
