A potential US military strike against Iran would lead to a severe destabilization of the Middle East, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"This would certainly represent another step that could seriously destabilize the situation in the region," the Kremlin representative said, offering his assessment of possible US aggression against Iran.
"Russia continues to make efforts to facilitate a de-escalation of tensions. In this case, we would certainly expect restraint from all interested parties and, of course, a focus on exclusively peaceful negotiations to resolve the issues they consider urgent," he added.
