Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.
The main topic of discussion, according to the Kremlin's press service, was the situation with the coronavirus pandemic. In particular, the heads of states noted that "mutual support in countering this global threat is further evidence of the special nature of the Russian-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership".
"The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their cooperation in this area, including the exchange of experts and medical equipment, medicines and protective gear," the message reads.
In addition, the parties stressed "counter-productivity to accuse China of releasing information to the global community on this dangerous infection in an untimely manner".
