During a working visit to Moscow, Marat Gatin, the Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia – Islamic World", held a meeting with Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The two sides discussed Bahrain’s participation in the Group’s upcoming annual meeting, the joint implementation of youth programs, and issues of Islamic finance. This included potential collaboration through the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), which is headquartered in Bahrain. Special recognition was given to Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, a member of the Group, who was thanked for his significant contributions to the dialogue between Russia and the Islamic world.
During the meeting, the Bahraini ambassador proposed organizing a dedicated exhibition dedicated to Arab countries on the sidelines of the Group's annual session. This initiative would allow the culture and potential of the Arab League states to be showcased to the high-level guests and forum participants. Marat Gatin welcomed the proposal and confirmed it would be taken under official consideration.
Bahrain also confirmed its participation in several upcoming youth forums in Kazan, which currently holds the status of the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World. This includes a media forum for journalists from Arab countries scheduled for May. Additionally, there are plans to establish specialized youth focus groups across various sectors involving members of the Strategic Vision Group. The ambassador committed to assisting in the selection of candidates from the Kingdom. "Kazan has become the second-ranking city after Moscow in the field of startups," Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati noted. "It is a safe city with rich traditions, which is certainly to your advantage."
